The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat Swim Team traveled to Banning Tuesday (March 8) and won both girls’ and boys’ meets. The Lady Cats took first place in seven races, second place in four races, and placed third in one race. The Wildcat boys placed first in eight races and second in two races.
Girls’ results:
- Virginia Johnson placed first in the 200 Free Style and placed second in the 100 Back Stroke.
- Patricia Zuniga placed first in both of her races which were 50 and 100 Free Style.
- 100 Breast Stroke was Kate Bobadilla’s first place race and she placed 2nd in the 50 Free.
- First place for the 100 Back Stroke was Staysia Jenkins and third in the 100 Free Style.
- Nadia Moreno placed second in the 100 and 200 Free Style.
- The 200 Free Relay team took first place and the swimmers were: K. Bobadilla, V. Johnson, S. Jenkins and P. Zuniga.
- The team for the 400 Free Relay also took first place they are: K. Bobadilla, N. Moreno, V. Johnson and P. Zuniga.
Boys’ results:
- Daviahn Thrasher took first place in 200 Free Style and 100 Back Stroke.
- Aiden Sullivan placed first in 50 and 100 Free Style.
- First place for the 500 Free Style was George Bourikas and he took second in the 50 Free Style.
- Moses Williams took first place in the Breast Stroke and he placed second in the 100 Free Style.
- The Wildcats took first in both the 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay they are: M. Williams, G. Bourikas, D. Thrasher and A. Sullivan.
