WILDCAT SWIM TEAM SPLITS THE WIN AGAINST COACHELLA

The Twentynine Palms High School Swim Team traveled to Coachella Valley High School Monday (March 14) with the Lady Cats taking the win against the Lady Mighty Arab. The boys did a great job but lost to the Mighty Arab. The Lady Cats took first place in seven races, second-place in four races, and placed third in three races. The boys placed second in three races, third in two races, and fourth in one race.  

The following are the girl’s results:

  • Nadia Moreno placed 1st in the 200 Free Style and 3rd in the 100 Free Style.
  • Patricia Zuniga placed first in both of her races which were 50 and 100 Free Style.
  • Staysia Jenkins placed 1st in the 100 Back Stroke and she placed 3rd in the 200 Free Style.
  • Kate Bobadilla place 1st in the 100 Breast Stroke and she placed 2nd in the 50 Free Style.
  • Virginia Johnson placed 2nd in the 200 Free Style and 3rd in the 100 Back Stroke.
  • Madie Soster placed 2nd in both of her races which were 100 Free Style and the 100 Breast Stroke.
  • The 200 Free Relay team took first place and the swimmers were: M. Soster, K. Bobadilla, N. Moreno and P. Zuniga.
  • The team for the 400 Free Relay also took first place they were: M. Soster, K. Bobadilla, V. Johnson and P. Zuniga.

The following are the boy’s results:

  • Aiden Sullivan placed 2nd in 50 and 3rd in 100 Free Style.
  • George Bourikas took 2nd in the 100 Free and 3rd place in the 50 Free Style.
  • Moses Williams took 2nd place in the Breast Stroke and he placed fourth in the 50 Free Style.

Kate Bobadilla took 2nd in the 50 yd Free Style
Moses placed 2nd in the 100 yd Breast Stroke
