WILDCAT SWIM TEAM EARNED DOUBLE WINS

The Twentynine Palms High School swim team traveled to meet the Golden Eagles of Desert Hot Springs High School last Thursday (March 17) and came home with double wins for both the girls and boys. The Wildcats have been practicing extremely hard, the ladies have won all 3 of their meets and the men have won 2 of their 3 meets.

Lady Cats results are:

  • Kate Bobadilla took 1st in the 200 yd Free Style and Virginia Johnson swam 2nd right behind her teammate.
  • The 50 yd Free Style was a great race with Patricia Zuniga in first place and Staysia Jenkins taking second.
  • Patricia Zuniga grabbed the 1st place and Madie Soster was less than second behind taking 2nd place.
  • Staysia Jenkins took 2nd place in the 100 yd Back Stroke and Virginia Johnson took 3rd.
  • Kate Bobadilla and Madie Soster took 1st and 2nd in the 100 yd Breast Stroke.
  • 200 Free Relay team placed 1st with the team of: Madie Soster, Kate Bobadilla, Virginia Johnson and Patricia Zuniga.
  • 1st place was awarded to the 400 yd Relay team of: Madie Soster, Kate Bobadilla, Staysia Jenkins and Patricia Zuniga.

The boys’ results are:

  • 200 yd Free Style was won by Daviahn Thrasher and George Bourikas took 2nd.
  • Aiden Sullivan and George Bourikas took 1st and 2nd in the 50 Free Style.
  • The 100 yd Free Style was won by Aiden Sullivan with Moses Williams taking 2nd.
  • Daviahn Thrasher grabbed 1st place in the 100 yd Back Stroke.
  • Moses Williams placed 1st in the Breast Stroke.
  • The following gentlemen took 1st place in both the 200 yd and 400 yd Free Relays: George Bourikas, Daviahn Thrasher, Moses Williams and Aiden Sullivan
