The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ basketball teams traveled to Cathedral City to play the Lions in a Desert Valley League matchup. All three teams won; varsity won 75-35; JV won 78-34; and frosh/soph won 48-42.
Coach Michael Usher said varsity was led by junior Jaylan Bradberry with 21 points, 10 rebounds and two steals, and Tarion Napolean and Troy Tuivaiti with 10 points each. Varsity improves to 14-11 overall, and 10-3 with sole possession of second place in the Desert Valley League. The Wildcats will wrap up DVL play on Thursday at home against Yucca Valley.
Usher asked attendees to wear green to the Richard Casey Memorial Gymnasium to honor the seniors on Senior Night.
Junior varsity was led by Carson Estrada with 12 points, and Jeremiah Holmes with 11. JV improves to 12-3 on the season, and will look to avenge its only DVL loss on Thursday at home against Yucca Valley.
Frosh/soph was led by sophomore Jaylen Sewell with 15 points, and Ethan Johnson with 10. Frosh-soph improves to 11-1 on the season, and will play their final game of the year on Friday against AB Miller.
