In high school sports, Twentynine Palms High School Varsity Baseball lost their opening home league game Monday to Banning 12-0.
Coach Brian Sosa said Sam Katcham broke up the no-hitter in the last inning with a two-out single. Seth Williford pitched four innings, allowing six hits, striking out four. Martin Rodriguez pitched two innings, allowing four hits, and striking out two.
