The Whitewater River clean-up event will focus clean-up efforts on popular visitor areas just outside Whitewater Preserve, just off the I-10 Freeway. Volunteers are needed, as well as clean-up supplies; including trash bags, water coolers, and trucks for hauling the garbage out. Volunteers should bring plenty of water and wear clothing suitable for outdoor work. This family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A potluck will be held at the Whitewater preserve after the cleanup.
