The Mojave Desert Land Trust will hold its Full Moon White Sage Plant Sale today, July 27. Reporter Andrew Dieleman explains the importance of these native plants…
White sage is a fragrant, perennial herb with white foliage and tiny white flowers that grow on stalks that can reach up to 6 feet tall. The plants assist in erosion control; tolerate poor soil conditions; and attract birds, butterflies, and bees. Today, July 27 from 4 to 7 p.m., the Mojave Desert Land Trust will hold its Full Moon White Sage Plant Sale. The plants, which were all grown from seeds in the MDLT’s native plant nursery, will be sold for $5 each while supplies last. The event will take place at the MDLT headquarters, 60124 29 Palms Highway in Joshua Tree.
