White Rock Horse Rescue hosts “Giddy Up 4 Goodies” this Saturday (11/1)

White Rock Horse Rescue is hosting its “Giddy Up 4 Goodies” fundraiser, which combines fun with education and outreach. The event is open to everyone — whether you ride, carve pumpkins, or just come for the goodies.

Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Local vendors will be present, including Morongo Cookie Co. and Michelle’s Little Desert Bakery. Giant Rock Coffee Co. will sell drinks from its trailer and donate ten percent of sales. Bowman Ranch Furniture will also donate a portion of its proceeds.

The horse-and-rider costume contest invites the public to vote for their favorites at $1 per vote, and there’s a free Jack-o’-Lantern carving contest sponsored by Quick Lube, offering a free oil change to the winner. Bring your pumpkin carved.

Jen, one of the event organizers, says the day is all about fun for families and their four-legged friends.

“Kids get to come out, get on a horse, and go trick-or-treating.”

All proceeds from the event will go to White Rock Horse Rescue to support its ongoing efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals throughout the Morongo Basin.

Giddy Up 4 Goodies will be held Saturday, November 1, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at White Rock Horse Rescue on Geronimo Trail in Landers.
