Have you ever wondered what it takes to be an EMT? To get your foot in the door start off by searching any colleges offering Emergency Medical Services that suit you and get enrolled. Many EMT classes have different ways of teaching so it’s key to read up and see which one you prefer. Basic EMT’s coming fresh out of school can make up to $40,000 a year depending on location and work hours, At times it may be tough working odd hours in the medical field but it’s important to stay strong with a good sense of humor and the urge to help someone in need of medical attention. One of the most challenging obstacles you will face is coping with the patients injuries and controlling the chaos at the scene but in the end your job makes everything worthwhile because you are able to provide aid to the sick or wounded while rushing them to the Hospital. Reporting for Z107.7 News, I’m ROP Broadcasting student, Anthony Benton.
