If you’ve been driving on Highway 62 in the early morning hours for the last two weeks or so, you may have seen semis pulling oversize loads. According to the California Highway Patrol, the cargo are wind turbines, destined for a project off Painted Hills Road near North Palm Springs. The manufacturer, Vestas, is based in Denmark and has several manufacturing facilities in Colorado.
