Gerry Gates, one of the Twentynine Palms Weed Show’s most creative minds in the last few years, will join long time veterans Pat Rimmington, Marilyn Fernald and Larry Bowden as a guest instructor for the upcoming Weed Show Workshop tomorrow. The hands-on workshop is where adults and children can learn how to create and practice making eye-catching compositions using desert weeds and found desert treasures for the upcoming Weed Show 2013 in Twentynine Palms, November 2 and 3. Experienced or non-experienced weed show enthusiasts who want to gain a competitive edge are invited to attend this free workshop. The workshop will run from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Old Schoolhouse Museum located at 6760 National Park Drive, Twentynine Palms. Those who have reserved a seat will have priority.
