It’s an annual tradition in Twentynine Palms, the Weed Show, sponsored by the Twentynine Palms Historical Society. The free event is this weekend at the Old Schoolhouse Museum on National Park Drive. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has more about this unique and artistic event…
The Twentynine Palms Historical Society’s annual “Weed Show,” November 7 and 8, at the Old Schoolhouse Museum challenges contestants to create unique displays under any of 13 categories around a central theme. This year’s theme is “Diamond In The Rough, 75 Years In The Making.” Each of the 13 categories recalls a past theme, such as category 1’s “1940 – Ladies of the Club” or category 6’s “1956 – Dried Drama.” Find a complete list of this year’s categories as well as rules, entry instructions and deadlines by following the link in this story at Z1077fm.com.
