WEBINAR EXPLORES FUNDING FOR DESERT PROTECTION

The California Desert Coalition has put together a webinar that focuses on congressional funds – where they come from, where they go, and how they can help, or hurt, the protection of our precious desert landscape. Reporter Heather Clisby has the details …

As part of the Defend the Desert Workshop Series, the California Desert Coalition has scheduled a webinar entitled, “Power of the Purse: Federal Appropriations and the California Desert.”

The online event will delve in to how congressional funds provided to federal agencies, such as the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the National Park Service (NPS), affect land management and conservation here in our desert.
