An argument at Roy’s Café in Amboy Monday escalated to the point where a knife and gun were brandished. According to a Sheriff’s report, about 12:30 Monday afternoon, a woman was arguing with a man on a motorcycle at the gas station, and charged him with a knife described as a butcher knife. When the clerk at the café saw the altercation, the Sheriff’s report states he pulled out his gun and pointed it at the woman and told her to drop the knife. The woman then left, walking westbound on Route 66, and Sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate her. The man on the motorcycle left before deputies arrived. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
