California voters will vote on a U.S. Senator, plus state, local, and county offices in addition to their choice for their party’s presidential candidate in the upcoming June 7 Presidential Primary. Assignment reporter Mike Lipsitz has details…
No fewer than 34 candidates are vying for the U.S. Senate Seat now held by the retiring Barbara Boxer. Among the candidates are 12 Republicans including former State Republican Party Chair Tom Del Beccaro, seven Democrats are on ballot including California Attorney General Kamala Harris, 11 candidates indicate no party preference. The top two vote getters will go on to the general election regardless of party preference. In the race for our District 8 U.S. Representative, incumbent Paul Cook faces three Democrats and another Republican. Two candidates hope to unseat Chad Mayes in the race the 42 Assembly Seat, they are Libertarian Jeff Hewitt and Democrat Greg Rodriguez.
