The musical comedy “Sister Act” boasts the divinely soulful voice of award-winning actress/singer Robin Wilson. In the role of Deloris Van Cartier, Wilson plays a lounge singer who witnesses a murder by her bad boy, boyfriend Curtis played with flair by Tom Patu. Her high school friend turned cop Eddie is sweetly played by Kevin Meyers; he helps protect her by hiding her at a convent. She ends up leading a gospel choir of sisters with stand-out performances by Virginia Sulick as the sincere Mother Superior, Brittany Baldridge as the bright-eyed Sister Mary Patrick and Cindy Daigneault as the hip-hop sister with some rapping rhymes. Novice Sister Mary Robert is beautifully played by Emma Sanchez; in her stage debut, she is impressive and one to keep an eye on. Scott Clinkscales in his directorial debut has helmed a heavenly hit.
