The Yucca Valley High School drama department is performing “Dracula” Reporter Rebecca Havely attended a final dress rehearsal and offers this review…
The mysterious Count Dracula has gone to England where he is living on a large estate next to an insane asylum plotting his next feeding. Aaron Ahmadi portrays Count Dracula with an intense command. The object of his desire, Lucy Westerna, is innocently played by Sierra Anderson. Professor Van Helsing is strongly played by Nathan Lafferty. Tyler Geeson plays the freakish, mentally disturbed Mr. Renfield with no fear. Other stand-out performers include, Kyle Cleveland as Dr. Seward, Nicholas Klimowicz as Mr. Harker, Madison Gaunt and Cheyenne Lopez, plus Sean McClintock as the bumbling, drunken butler. This stage adaptation is closely based on the original, presenting the frightening story that made this horror a classic.
