The Annual Miss Yucca Valley Scholarship Pageant is coming up Saturday, February 7th at the Joshua Springs Thunderdome. Today, Z107.7 introduces you to contestant Sarah Webb…
Today we visit with Sarah Webb, a junior at Yucca Valley High School and candidate for Miss Yucca Valley. Sarah, who is the prominent woman interviewed, and what did you learn from her?
“I interviewed Jill Alkalski, one of the most prominent woman in our town. I learned that one of the most important things to do is to be happy and always give back. She gives back to our community by being a part of the Rotary Club of Yucca Valley. She also taught me to never give up on my dreams and always go after what I want.”
What have you learned from your experience with Miss Yucca Valley?
“I have learned so many things from my experience with Miss Yucca Valley. I have learned people skills, public speaking skills, poise, and confidence. I have learned how important it is to represent our beautiful town in a positive manner. I have also learned how to be highly effective and how to handle difficult situations.”
Any final words?
“I would encourage any incoming juniors to participate next year in the Miss Yucca Valley Pageant. It is one of the best programs I have ever experienced and I am so glad to be a part of it. It has changed me in many ways, all for the better.”
