Today we are talking with Hailey Green. Hailey, tell us about yourself.
“My name is Hailey Green. I go to Yucca Valley High School. I play soccer for a women’s league team. I want to go to college for my business degree and to go to pastry school to be a pastry chef.”
Who is the prominent woman you interviewed, and what have you learned from her?
“My prominent woman is Mary Keck. She is a teacher at Yucca Valley High School. From my interview with her, I learned to never believe the people that tell you, ‘you can’t.’ You can accomplish anything you set your mind to, no matter what obstacles you face. She’s been a huge inspiration to me in setting goals and meeting them.”
What have you learned from your experience with Miss Yucca Valley?
“From my experience with Miss Yucca Valley, I’ve learned how important it is to be a positive role model for our community, and to not be afraid to show our talents, but also to be hardworking and have fun while doing it.”
Any final words?
“This has been a great experience and I encourage sophomore girls especially to come watch the pageant and consider doing Miss Yucca Valley next year.”
