Watch Out for Wildlife Week coincides with the season when California’s wildlife are on the move, traveling to their winter ranges and looking for mates and food. California’s roadways often cut through these animals’ migration routes. Wildlife experts say motorists should be extra alert when driving near areas wildlife frequent, such as streams and rivers. Reduce your speed in these areas so you can react safely. Remember, if you see one animal, there are often others nearby. Pay extra attention when driving during the morning and evening when wildlife is often most active.
