Tonight, February 22, the Twentynine Palms City Council will gather to discuss two main agenda items.

The council will select two council members to serve as Delegate and Alternate Delegate for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Annual General Assembly on May 5 in Palm Desert. Established in 1965, the assembly is the nation’s largest metropolitan planning organization and represents six counties and more than 19 million residents.

Plans for the city’s wastewater and sewer project will also be reviewed. The council will discuss possibilities, such as staff pursuing state funding for project development, how much funding would be required, and how much the Twentynine Palms Water District would be involved.

The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road, and can be live-streamed or viewed on-demand via the city’s website, 29palms.org.
