WARRANT SWEEP IN YUCCA VALLEY, TWENTYNINE PALMS, RESULTS IN 31 ARRESTS

Morongo Basin Sheriff’s deputies participated in a warrant sweep between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday in Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms. During the sweep of 179 warrants, deputies conducted 87 field interviews and made 31 arrests for felony and misdemeanor warrants, parole and probation violations, narcotic offenses, and vehicle code violations. During the contacts, deputies also documented gang members in Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms. The warrant sweep was part of a program called Problem Oriented Policing.
