WARRANT ARRESTS REVEAL SUSPICIOUS ITEMS

Two people were arrested following a routine traffic stop early Wednesday morning for arrest warrants. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a vehicle at Two Mile Road and Lazy Joe Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 2 a.m. Inside the vehicle, the driver, Ryan Murdock, 41, of Twentynine Palms, was found to have an active felony warrant for $175,000 for being a felon in possession of a firearm. A passenger in the car, Jesus Baez, 35, of Yucca Valley, had an active $25,000 drug-related warrant for his arrest. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found two Halloween masks and two BB guns. Ryan Murdock and Jesus Baez were arrested for their warrants and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail.
