A Twentynine Palms woman is one of six women who are in the running in a national competition for Military Spouse of the Year, sponsored by Armed Forces Insurance and Military Spouse magazine. Managing editor Tami Roleff says the final day to vote is today….
Just a reminder: today is the day to vote for Jessica Rudd of Twentynine Palms as the Military Spouse of the Year. Rudd, 30, a former Marine, wife of Andrew Rudd, a Marine with 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment at Twentynine Palms, and mother of three, was one of 170 spouses who were nominated as the Military Spouse of the Year. Through on-line voting and judging by two panels of judges, Rudd has risen through the ranks to first be named as Military Spouse of the Year for the Twentynine Palms Combat Center, and then the Marine Corps Military Spouse of the Year. Rudd is now one of six spouses who are competing for overall Military Spouse of the Year. Voting runs through 9 p.m. tonight. The winner will be announced at a gala event in Washington, DC on May 12.
