VOLUNTEERS REMOVE 22,000 POUNDS OF TRASH FROM SUNFAIR DRY LAKE

The Sunfair Dry Lake are in Joshua Tree is a lot cleaner now thanks to the hard-working members of the Desert Cleanse clean-up team and volunteers from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station. Last Saturday, Colin and Jill Sauter from Desert Cleanse, off-duty deputies, and volunteers met at 7 a.m. to clean up trash in areas heavily used by campers and OHV enthusiasts. The volunteers filled a roll-off dumpster with 22,000 pounds of trash. Good job to all who participated to help keep our desert clean and safe for all to enjoy.
