The Yucca Valley High School will present its Fourth Annual Visual and Performing Arts Extravaganza, an event designed to showcase the music, arts, and theater departments at the school. The art department will host an art walk showcasing many of the students’ artworks. The Concert and Select Choirs, and symphonic band will perform, and the jazz band will perform with the local funk and soul band Desert Sol. Students from the theater department will also perform. In addition, student clubs and athletic teams will have booths to sell items and promote their organizations. Food, drinks, face painting, and children’s activities will also be a part of the event. The Extravaganza runs from 2 to about 7-7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the Yucca Valley High School. Admission is $10; children under 5 are free.
