The 29 Palms Creative Center and Gallery will hold an opening reception and fundraiser from 4 to 6 p.m. today for the Palms ‘n Paw animal shelter in Twentynine Palms. The art show features the work of students in grades kindergarten through high school, and all art will be on sale for a $15 donation. Proceeds will go to the animal shelter. Live music and refreshments will be available. The show will be on display through March 31. The exhibition and reception are at the 29 Palms Creative Center, 6847 Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms.
The 29 Palms Art Gallery will hold an opening reception 5 to 7 p.m. tonight for its newest exhibition. Featured artists are Elisabeth Pollnow and Esther Shaw. Pollnow’s show, “reGenesis—one ending is another beginning,” will be in the West Gallery with artwork made of clay and other organic materials. Shaw’s “Trees of the High Desert” captures Joshua trees, smoke trees, and other native desert trees in oil on canvas. There will be live music and refreshments. The show will be on display through February 25. Gallery hours are Thursday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 29 Palms Art Gallery is located at 74055 Cottonwood Drive in Twentynine Palms.
The Glass Outhouse will hold an opening reception for its new exhibit today from 1 to 5 p.m. The work of Joy Leininga, Savanah Sky, Dani Curlin, and Paul-Mark will be on display. The Luminators will provide live music. The exhibit will be up through February 25. The Glass Outhouse is located on Highway 62, about five miles east of Twentynine Palms.
The National Park Art Gallery, at the corner of National Park Drive and Highway 62, will also be open today for the art cruise.
