The fast response of staff at a local high school and the County Sheriff’s office defused a potentially violent situation yesterday afternoon.

On Thursday, staff at Yucca Valley High School were notified of  a threatening video posted on social media. The identified poster of the social media video arrived at Yucca Valley High School at dismissal time. Administration immediately contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and officers arrived, intervened and took the individuals into custody where they were cited for trespassing.

The Morongo Unified School District says they take all threats made against our school communities seriously. If you see or experience suspicious behavior, please report anonymously through See Something Say Something at 844-760-1998.
