All veterans and their families are welcome; all disabilities will be accommodated, so come to compete or enjoy the contests from the shaded bleachers. The day starts at 7:30 a.m. with check in and range safety instruction; the competition begins at 9 a.m. Prizes, in various categories, will be awarded to individual shooters and to five-member Disabled American Veterans chapter teams. Shooter registration and spectator R.S.V.P. forms are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, September 15. Donations will be accepted to help defray costs of prizes, supplies, and provided lunch which includes hotdogs, hamburgers, chips and beverages. The Air Rifle Competition is an alcohol-free event. This year’s co-sponsors include the National Rifle Association, the Combat Center Formal Marksmanship Training Center and Z107.7-FM community radio.
