What’s a YART? It’s a word made up for the Highway 62 Art Tour, meaning Art + Yard Sale. Dan Stork has more about it, including a call for participants…
The Hwy 62 Art Tours YART Party 2013 is seeking arts and crafts vendors, community organizations, musicians, and entertainers to participate in a four-day event that will take place in downtown Joshua Tree over both weekends of the Hwy 62 Art Tours, October 19-20 and 26-27. The event , to be located in the lots between Joshua Tree Saloon and Coyote Corner in the hours between 9am and 4pm, will also serve as an information center for the annual art tour. There will be live music and entertainers on an outdoor stage, plus food, drinks and a beer garden. Vendor spaces are 10×10 and cost $40 per day for Morongo Basic Community Arts Council (MBCAC) members or $50 per day for non-members. A discount is offered for vendors wishing to participate all four days. Additional spaces may be purchased. Vendors are required to tear down daily as there will not be overnight security provided. Partnering on spaces is allowed.
