The Town of Yucca Valley and the Morongo Basin Healthcare District are sponsoring a community health fair Saturday, May 12 from 10 to 2 at the Yucca Valley Community Center. Non-profit, health-oriented vendors are encouraged to participate in the healthcare fair. The event will include free health screenings; a kids’ zone; food; lectures on topics such as healthy eating on a budget, treating depression, and CPR; and drawings and giveaways. More than 40 community organizations will be on hand with information about resources available in the Morongo Basin. In addition, residents will have the opportunity to donate blood. A free healthy lunch will be provided. To register your organization, download a vendor application from MBHDistrict.org and submit it by May 1.
