VEHICLE VANDALISM INCIDENT IN YUCCA VALLEY UNDER INVESTIGATION

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a case of vandalism to a woman’s car in Yucca Valley Friday. According to a Sheriff’s report, the unidentified woman was driving eastbound in the number 2 lane of Highway 62 near Palm Avenue in Yucca Valley about 7:15 p.m. Friday, when her car was struck by a large tire that was rolling northbound on Palm Avenue. A motorist behind the woman noticed several juveniles in the area at the time the tire hit the car. The juveniles then ran southbound away from the highway. The only description of the juveniles is that they are black or Hispanic. The car’s front passenger bumper and pillar were damaged; damage is estimated at $4,000 to repair.
