VEHICLE STOP RESULTS IN ARREST FOR GRAND THEFT AUTO

Two people were arrested late Wednesday night after they were found with a stolen vehicle. According to limited information from the Sheriff’s Department, a deputy stopped a vehicle about 10 p.m. near Desert View Road and Highway 62. Inside the vehicle were Alicia Hernandez, 33, of Twentynine Palms, and Ricky Goodley, 21, a transient. After an investigation, Rickey Goodley was arrested on suspicion of grand theft auto, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000. Alicia Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, cited and released.
