VEHICLE FIRE IN YUCCA VALLEY MONDAY

Yucca Valley firefighters managed to keep a vehicle fire from spreading to a house yesterday. According to County Fire Battalion Chief Scott Tuttle, firefighters were called about 5:30 p.m. to the 57500 block of Airway Avenue where they found a VW Beetle on fire. An aggressive attack by firefighters stopped the blaze from spreading to the nearby house. Tuttle said the cause was mechanical failure. There were no injuries.
