Everyone is invited to a free vegetarian barbeque dinner at 6 p.m. this Sunday at the Community United Methodist Church on East Parkway in Joshua Tree. Along with dinner, fresh vegetables will be distributed, and for those interested in growing food in the desert a tour of the vegetable garden will be available. As with all Transition Joshua Tree events, this is a ‘no waste’ dinner; please bring your own dishes, utensils and a bag to take home vegetables. Contact [email protected] to donate or volunteer.
