The Sheriff’s Department is investigating vandalism at Covington Park in Morongo Valley. Deputies were called to the park shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday. The groundkeeper found a stick with a knife taped to the end. Damage to the playground’s gym was estimated to be about $1,000.
