Three public hearings head the agenda of the Twentynine Palms City Council on February 10. A social host ordinance, concerning consumption of alcoholic beverages and/or illegal substances by minors, is up first. Then follows consideration of two alternative proposals for recommendations for community development block grants. After that, the long-running consideration of a vacation home rental ordinance comes before the council. Then three more discussions are on tap: the status of planning commission appointments; scheduling interviews for a federal lobbyist; and the decision to pay for $1,000,000 in unfunded liabilities in the Public Employment Retirement System. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in City Hall on Adobe Road.
