Updating: Deputy-involved shooting near Joshua Lane in Yucca Valley leaves one hospitalized

The Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station reports that a deputy involved shooting occurred last night in Yucca Valley, leaving one person hospitalized.

The Sheriff’s Department released a statement on their social media that their Specialized Investigations division is currently investigating a case near Joshua Lane and Joshua Drive in Yucca Valley. The Department says that there was an “officer involved shooting” at around 11:15 p.m. Monday night (May 5).

The Department says that no deputies were injured, and one person is being treated for injuries at a hospital.

The Sheriff’s Department says that they will provide more information as the investigation continues, and are asking residents to avoid the area of Joshua Lane and Joshua Drive.
