The results of the Twentynine Palms Water District board
elections haven’t changed much since the initial results came in Tuesday night.
Newcomer Michael Arthur slightly expanded his lead over second-place winner
Carol Giannini. On Tuesday, Arthur was ahead by 227 votes; Thursday, his lead
increased to 243 votes. Neal Stephenson was behind by 438 votes. The Registrar
of Voters estimates there are 24 mail ballots with signatures that still need
to be reviewed.
