UPDATE ON SHOOTING IN TWENTYNINE PALMS EARLY TUESDAY

The Sheriff’s Department has released more information about a shooting in Twentynine Palms early Tuesday morning. According to a press release, deputies were called to the 72600 block of Indian Trail just after midnight Tuesday morning, and found two men, Robert Ash Junior, 29, and Norman Nelson, 54, both of Twentynine Palms, who both had multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies determined that Ash and Nelson entered the property and were confronted by the owner, Berry Holley, 60. The press release states “a shooting occurred during which Ash and Nelson both sustained multiple gunshot wounds.” Robert Ash and Norman Nelson were taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for treatment. The investigation will be submitted to the District Attorney’s office for review.
