An unlicensed marijuana delivery service based in Joshua Tree was raided Thursday, and detectives seized hundreds of thousands of dollars in drugs and cash. Detectives from the Bureau of Cannabis Control’s enforcement unit, along with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Department, Probation Department, and the California Tax and Fee Administration, served a search warrant on Mojave Med, an unlicensed cannabis delivery service in Joshua Tree. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of cannabis flower, concentrates, edibles, and vapes worth more than $300,000. In addition, detective seized mushrooms and $55,000 in cash. According to the Bureau, a business engaged in cannabis activity without a license is subject to civil penalties of up to three times the amount of the license fee for each day of operation. License fees range from $200 to $96,000, depending on the business’s expected annual gross revenue.
