The world’s greatest tribute to U-2 is “L.A. Vation,” deriving its name from the U-2 hit “Elevation.” They’re more than just a cover band. They not only execute great music, they also mimic the style of a real U-2 concert. Lead singer Jason Thiesen has an uncanny resemblance to Bono. They’ve performed all over the world and this Saturday night they’re performing live in Yucca Valley. The gates to the Community Center ball field open at 6:30 p.m., the concert is from 7 to 9 p.m and its free to all. Bring blankets and lawn chairs and sing along to “Beautiful Day” on a starry night.
