Two Yucca Valley residents were arrested, accused of various drug charges, following a traffic stop in Yucca Valley. About 7:20 Tuesday morning, Deputy J. Lopez made a traffic stop on a U-Haul rental truck near Sunnyslope Drive and Sage Avenue in Yucca Valley. The driver, Victor Espindola, 24, ran from the traffic stop, but was quickly apprehended and was determined to be a wanted parolee-at-large. Victor Espindola was arrested for his arrest warrant and for investigation of driving while under the influence of drugs. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held without bail. The passenger in the rental truck, Angelina Gomez, 30, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs and being in possession of drug paraphernalia, and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $10,000.
