TWO YUCCA VALLEY MEN ARRESTED FOR VANDALISM AT YUCCA VALLEY CAR DEALERSHIP

Two Yucca Valley men have been arrested for causing nearly $50,000 in damages to cars at a car dealership. According to a Sheriff’s press release, on November 26, the general manager of the Yucca Valley Ford dealership reported that someone had thrown rocks at new and used vehicles on the car lot. An investigation by Sherifff’s Deputy Shauna Ables and Service Specialist Melissa Kramer found that rocks, ranging in size from 4 to 12 inches, had been thrown at eight vehicles, breaking windshields and damaging the vehicles’ hoods, roofs, trunks, and side door panels. The final cost to repair the vehicles was $49,500. Ables and Kramer received a tip on Tuesday, January 6, identifying suspects in the vandalism as Chad Sessum, 18, and Coty Carper, 20. After an investigation, Chad Sessum and Coty Carper were arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of felony vandalism, and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with their bail set at $25,000 each. A third suspect in the vandalism is still at large.
