A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital Thursday following a broad-side collision in Yucca Valley. According to a Sheriff’s report, a car driven by a woman identified only as “Castellano,” was northbound on Acoma Trail and had stopped at the stoplight at the highway about 8 p.m. When the light turned green, Castellano proceeded through the intersection, and was hit broadside by a westbound vehicle, driven by a man identified only as “Cervantes.” A pregnant woman inside Cervantes’ car complained of abdominal pain and was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center. Castellano’s vehicle was towed; Cervantes was able to drive his vehicle from the scene.
