Two Twentynine Palms residents were arrested Thursday, accused of forgery and identity theft. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 7500 block of Sage Avenue in Yucca Valley about 5:20 p.m. Thursday for a report of identity theft. The caller said his 17-year-old son’s wallet had been stolen, and someone in the 72600 block of Sunnyslope Avenue in Twentynine Palms was using his Social Security card and his identification to open credit cards. Deputies went to the Twentynine Palms home where they contacted Diana Rodriguez, 48, and Allen Stomer, 38. Stomer had an arrest warrant from Missouri for various drug charges and forgery and was considered a fugitive. Deputies searched the home and found the victim’s identification and Social Security card, along with identification from another victim. Both Rodriguez and Stomer denied using the identifications and claimed to not know how the cards ended up in their bedroom. Diana Rodriguez was arrested for identity theft, booked into West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $50,000. Allen Stomer was also arrested for identity theft, on his warrants, and for being a fugitive, and is being held in the Morongo Basin Jail without bail.
