TWO TWENTYNINE PALMS MEN HELD AFTER STOLEN CAR FOUND

Two Twentynine Palms men were arrested Friday following an investigation for a stolen vehicle. Morongo Basin Sheriff’s detectives were investigating a case of a stolen vehicle in Twentynine Palms when leads brought them to a home in the 72300 block of Cactus Avenue about 2 p.m. Friday. At the home were Thomas Furney, 33, Colby Thomason, 25, and a stolen vehicle. Thomas Furney was arrested for investigation of possession of a stolen vehicle, and burglary. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $75,000. Thomason was discovered to have a warrant for his arrest from Los Angeles County. Colby Thomason was arrested on suspicion of violating the terms of his parole, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and is being held without bail.
