Two men suspected of robbing the Flyer’s gas station in Yucca Valley at
gunpoint Wednesday morning have been arrested. Anthony Sibley was arrested Thursday afternoon, accused of armed robbery, and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $100,000. Deputies obtained a search warrant for Sibley’s home in the 6300 block of Marvin Drive, where they found evidence linking Sibley and another man, Michael Riddle, 19, of Landers, to the robbery. Michael Riddle was arrested Friday afternoon on suspicion of armed robbery, and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000. About 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sheriff’s investigators say Sibley and Riddle went to the Flyer’s gas station, in the 56200 block of Highway 62 in Yucca Valley. They went into the convenience store, while other customers were present, brandished a gun at the clerk and demanded money. They then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
