Directors at the Joshua Basin Water District will vote on two significant items at tonight’s 6:30 p.m. meeting. Reporter Mike Lipsitz tells us what to expect…
The board will consider major revisions to the customer assistance program intended to provide some relief when a leak or other unusual event results in an unexpectedly high water bill. Specifically, the threshold to be considered for assistance will increase from $400 to $700 and the program will be available only for a ratepayer’s primary residence. Also tonight, the board will consider approval of an Organizational Implementation Plan. Those items and others will follow public comments. Committee, staff and director’s reports come later. Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. sharp at the district offices on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
