TWO RESCUES IN JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK SATURDAY

With the holiday weekend, there were lots of visitors in Joshua Tree National Park. Two of those visitors needed rescuing Saturday after they fell in separate incidents. About 11:30 a.m., Morongo Basin Ambulance was called to the Boy Scout Trail area to transport one patient to Hi-Desert Medical Center where the victim was then transported by air to a trauma center. Then, about two hours later, at 1:45 p.m., MBA was called to Hidden Valley campground for another fall victim, who was taken to a trauma center.
